Event and Venue Recycling

Setting up special event and venue recycling is an important part of the recycling cycle. Many tons of recyclable materials are lost each year as a result of poor or nonexistant event and venue recycling programs. DPPEA recognizes that recycling at indoor or outdoor sports arenas, stadiums, concert venues and civic centers can be challenging. Not to mention those outdoor special events held each year in your communities, such as earth day events, festivals, fairs, races, etc. But with the plastic bottle disposal ban (effective Oct. 1, 2009), it is even more important that we remove this material from our waste stream.
